AG focuser in German TV news

Today, the German public TV news Tageschau has a report on hundred years of the Max Planck Society. The report features our AG focuser at the FHI Berlin with our "external" graduate student Stephan Putzke.

CFEL Symposium on Sylt

Over the weekend we had the first CFEL Symposium, organized by Ralf Köhn on the German island of Sylt. Our group contributed a talk Controlled Molecule Imaging and three posters:
  • Manipulating the motion of large molecules
  • Molecular dynamics probed via strong-field ionization of oriented molecules
  • X-ray diffraction from single molecules at the worlds first X-ray Free-Electron Laser source

    Today Karol Długołęcki starts in our group at CFEL, while Lotte Holmegaard, unfortunately, left for her home town Aarhus. We look forward to great interactions with and a lot of help from Karol. Lotte we wish all the best and hope to see her back at CFEL and/or at LCLS soon;-)
